Role Overview

The Chief of Staff will act as a strategic integrator, execution driver, and project management anchor for the VP - Customer Excellence & Operations.
This role is designed for a leader who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and can operate across multiple business lines - Mutual Fund Operations, Insurance Operations, and General Business Operations. The individual will translate strategy into actionable projects, bring structure to execution, and ensure alignment across all operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Execution & Project Management

  • Translate the VP’s strategic objectives into well-defined projects with clear timelines, deliverables, and KPIs.
  • Lead and monitor execution of strategic projects across operations, ensuring outcomes are measurable and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Build project governance models that ensure visibility, accountability, and cross-team synchronization.
  • Oversee timelines, dependencies, and deliverables for core operational initiatives to ensure executional excellence and stakeholder alignment.
  • Create structured review frameworks (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for leadership to track business-critical initiatives.

2. Leadership Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the VP’s office and functional teams (CX, Operations, Technology, RTA, AMC, Compliance, Product, HR).
  • Facilitate business reviews, operational war rooms, and strategic off-sites.
  • Prepare leadership updates, presentations, and communication notes that convert operational data into strategic insights.

3. Operations Governance & Efficiency

  • Oversee operational health across all verticals through KPIs such as SLA adherence, CSAT, TAT, FMRT%, and process productivity.
  • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to design dashboards, automate reporting, and track core operational metrics.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and initiating corrective projects with measurable impact.

4. Business Planning & Program Oversight

  • Co-led the annual operating plan (AOP) process with the VP, ensuring cross-department alignment on financial, operational, and people goals.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and interdependencies across business units.
  • Manage key vendor, AMC, and partner initiatives, ensuring operational scalability and compliance readiness.

5. Team Alignment & Culture

  • Cascade the VP’s priorities into actionable OKRs and project trackers across all operational teams.
  • Reinforce a culture of ownership, precision, and agility.
  • Drive communication rhythms that keep internal stakeholders aligned and accountable.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 8-14 years of total experience with at least 3 years in Chief of Staff, Program Management, or Strategic Operations roles.
  • Prior exposure to fintech, investment, BFSI, or SaaS-led operations environments is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, including the ability to scope, plan, execute, and monitor complex initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen; comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
