Job Title: Channel Manager – YouTube
Location: Chennai (On-site)
Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Channel Manager to build and scale our YouTube presence from the ground up. This is a high-ownership role for someone who understands YouTube not just as a content platform, but as a serious engine for attention, audience-building, and long-term brand growth.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in shaping and scaling a YouTube channel, with a clear understanding of content strategy, audience behavior, programming, packaging, and performance. This role requires someone who can think strategically, execute consistently, and take direct accountability for channel growth across views, watch time, engagement, and subscribers.
Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in finance or fintech. Relevant experience in B2B or D2C content-led businesses will also be valuable.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the YouTube Growth Charter
Take end-to-end ownership of the YouTube channel and its growth. Define what the channel should stand for, how it should grow, what formats it should invest in, and how it should build a loyal audience over time.
• Build the Content Engine from Scratch
Develop the channel’s content roadmap, programming structure, and publishing rhythm. Create a strong mix of repeatable series, timely content, and strategic experiments that can drive both relevance and scale.
• Drive Content Strategy and Concept Development
Identify content opportunities based on audience needs, market trends, competitive analysis, and business priorities. Shape strong video concepts that are watchable, useful, and capable of compounding over time.
• Own Packaging and Performance Levers
Lead all critical levers that influence channel performance, including titles, thumbnails, hooks, retention strategy, descriptions, and overall video positioning. Ensure content is packaged to earn clicks and sustain watch time.
• Manage End-to-End Execution
Work closely with writers, editors, designers, producers, and on-screen talent to take videos from idea to publication. Ensure speed, quality, and consistency across the production and publishing cycle.
• Track Channel Performance and Sharpen Output
Monitor performance across views, subscriber growth, watch time, retention, engagement, and format-level output. Translate data into clear decisions and use those insights to improve the channel continuously.
• Create Systems for Consistency and Scale
Build workflows, review mechanisms, and planning systems that allow the channel to scale without losing sharpness or quality. Bring structure to ideation, production, publishing, and performance reviews.
• Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with content, design, marketing, and business teams to ensure the channel aligns with larger brand and growth priorities while still retaining a strong editorial identity.
• Run Experiments with a Clear Point of View
Test new formats, series, lengths, talent styles, and publishing approaches. Build strong learning loops and know when to double down, refine, or drop an idea.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in content, media, digital marketing, or channel growth roles
- Proven experience in building, managing, or scaling a YouTube channel with measurable outcomes
- Strong understanding of YouTube growth mechanics including CTR, retention, watch time, subscriber conversion, content packaging, and audience behavior
- Demonstrated ability to combine creative thinking with performance analysis
- Experience working with writers, editors, designers, and video teams to produce high-quality content consistently
- Strong project management and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing momentum
- Clear communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
Nice to Have
- Prior experience scaling a YouTube channel in finance or fintech

Work Mode and Expectations
- Full-time, on-site in Chennai
- Monday to Friday workweek
