Regional Trainer
Role Summary
The Regional Trainer will be responsible for driving business productivity and partner
engagement across assigned clusters. This role focuses on transitioning low-
productivity and dormant Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) into active, consistent
producers while supporting the Internal Sales Team with consultative selling tools. The
ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product knowledge and sales execution,
ensuring high-level engagement through a pre-decided calendar of training
interventions.

● Reporting To: Head of Learning & Development (L&D)
● Target Audience: MFDs (Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced) and Internal
Sales Teams
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Strategy
● Design and execute a high-level engagement program for a base of 15k to 20k
distributors, ensuring a well-planned schedule of sessions.
● Deliver hybrid training modules covering Domain (Equity, Fixed Income, PMS, SIF,
Insurance), Skill Development (SIP pitching, objection handling, social media),
and Behavioural aspects (Consultative Selling, investor emotions).
● Implement the 90-Day Execution Roadmap, focusing on product clarity in Phase
1, habit formation (e.g., "The 10:30 Call") in Phase 2, and scaling via market
cycles in Phase 3.
● Conduct specialized "Power Hour" webinars and small-group "Role-Play" clinics
to overcome market objections and close deals.
Business Enablement & Analysis
● Identify and activate dormant MFDs, moving them from zero logs to a consistent
1-3 SIPs per month.
● Track business trends using the T-1, T-0, T+1, and T+2 format to identify growth
patterns and intervention needs.
● Equip Internal Sales Teams with "Consultative Sales Toolkits," enabling them to
act as Practice Development Managers rather than just Relationship Managers.
● Organize and execute association-led events to increase brand visibility and
partner networking.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The success of the Regional Trainer will be measured by the following metrics:
● Activation Rate: Percentage of inactive partners turned active within the
assigned region.
● SIP Velocity: Month-on-Month growth in SIP counts in the assigned cluster.
● Coverage: Number of training interventions conducted and total
participants/branches covered based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
● Retention: Retention rate of newly onboarded MFDs.
● Quality Score: Net Promoter Score (NPS) from MFDs regarding "Ease of Selling"
following training sessions.
Candidate Profile
Experience and Education
● 8-10 years of professional experience in Mutual Fund sales, product
management, or Training and Development.
● Proven track record in the Mutual Fund industry or a high-performing sales
environment.
Technical Proficiency
● Expert knowledge of Mutual Funds, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), SIF,
and Insurance products.
● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and T-format tracking.
● Advanced PowerPoint skills for creating high-impact training presentations.
Skills and Traits
● Energetic & Creative: Ability to lead engaging sessions and gamify learning (e.g.,
"Rising Star" leaderboards and weekly quiz formats).
● Analytical Mindset: Capacity to decipher fact sheets, analyze market cycles, and
interpret complex business data.
