Job Title: Senior Associate – Referral Partnerships
Function: Marketing
Reports to: Associate Manager – Partnerships
Location: Chennai
About the Role AssetPlus is building a referral partner ecosystem to onboard Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) — both existing ARN holders and aspiring candidates — onto its platform. The Senior Associate will support the identification, onboarding, and activation of institutional referral partners (training institutes, CFA/CFP academies, insurance and real estate broking firms, bank/corporate channels, CA bodies, and financial content creators) who refer candidates into AssetPlus's MFD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and shortlist prospective institutional referral partners across target categories and cities, using AUM/city data and ICP mapping to prioritize outreach
- Support partner onboarding: coordinate agreement execution, payout structure explanation (Empanelment → Activation → Super-Starter milestones), and onboarding logistics
- Track partner performance — referrals sourced, empanelment-to-activation conversion, payout processing — and flag underperforming or high-potential partners
- Coordinate with AssetPlus Academy on training pathways (NISM V-A) for captive-segment referrals sourced through partners
- Maintain partner relationship cadence — check-ins, issue resolution, renewal support
- Assist in preparing partner-facing collateral (pitch decks, payout explainers, category-specific outreach material)
- Support content creator partnership tracking (deliverables, integrated video cadence, referral-linked payouts where applicable)
- Report weekly/monthly on pipeline health, new partner additions, and category-wise empanelment numbers to the Associate Manager
Requirements
- 2–4 years' experience in partnerships, business development, channel sales, or B2B relationship management (BFSI/EdTech/fintech preferred)
- Understanding of mutual fund distribution, ARN/NISM certification process, or willingness to learn quickly
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills; comfortable pitching to institutional stakeholders
- Data-oriented — comfortable tracking pipeline metrics and payout/conversion numbers using CRM
- Self-starter, able to manage multiple partner relationships and city-wise outreach simultaneously
